Poverty and Scarcity or Wealth and Prosperity.
Which is it? And What if We decide.
Napolean Hill said is best. "What the mind of Man can conceive and believe, he can achieve." I suspect it applies equally to what we do not want as well as to what we do want. When students come to the First Step, they are usually surprised to hear that they can return to any subsequent First Step at no charge, although we do expect them to assist us. We set this up by design. First, what most people conceive and believe, they have achieved. That's why they don't have enough money, time, happiness, love, and fulfilling relationships in their lives. What we know is, it takes practice to become a master of our life. Thirty hours once a lifetime will not convert 40 years of bad habits into good ones.
Is it easy to bring wealth, loving relationships, relaxation, and happiness in your life? Yes. Why don't more people have success and happiness? Here comes the bad news: it is also easy not to. How many books have you read in the last 90 days? No time to read? How many hours of TV have you watched this month? Lots of time to read. It is easy to read ten minutes a day. It is easy not to. Did you walk around the block and eat an apple today? Or collapse on the couch, use the remote to surf the channels as you ate taco chips. Easy to do. Easy not to. Did you take ten minutes to be grateful for all the wonderful things in your life? Or spend the day complaining? Easy to do. Easy not to do. Did you spend 20 minutes in silent prayer or meditation today? Or yell (aloud or in your head) at the kids, spouse, neighbors, etc.? Easy to do. Easy not to. Every day contains 1440 minutes. I would invite you to put aside 50 of them to feed your mind, exercise your body, and relax. There are huge benefits to be realized.
Slowly over time, you may notice that your self-esteem has increased, and with it, your belief in yourself. The thoughts you conceive are more on abundance and less on scarcity. Then you may begin to believe you can. Then watch what you can achieve! Easy to do. Easy not to. That is the slow way.
Who reading this has any patience? So what is the fast way? I have two suggestions. First, work with a coach. If it works for Wayne Gretzky and Michael Jordan, it will work for you. I have three coaches and counting.
Second, take classes, workshops, or seminars. Concentrated effort over two or three days will bring amazing dividends quickly. Then keep practicing what you learnt until it becomes second nature.
Poverty and Scarcity or Wealth and Prosperity?
You decide.
